EPIRB - (AMI provides Pains Wessex GPS equipped 406 mhz unit) Ground Tackle - pref. 2 anchors + 300’ + of rode each. Radar Reflector - (AMI can provide) Hand Held VHF - (AMI provides) Spare Halyard - (block + 100-150 feet of Dacron 3/8 to 7/16) SSB Receiver for Weather Broadcasts - (AMI can provide) FRESHLY SERVICED ENGINE - oil and filters changed, and Service Recs. Up to Date - ie. fresh or nearly so impeller etc. Equipment needed to change oil - filters, etc. (Pump, rags, container) Engine Spares: 5 Quarts of Oil - or more, at least enough for one complete oil chng. Spare Fuel and Oil Filters Spare Fan Belt Spare Impeller Deck Fuel - ample fuel for voyage - deck fuel in jugs or bladder - depending on vessel tank capacity Spare Light Bulbs - 1 for each running light, + 2 spares for cabin lights Tool Kit - Mechanical Bosun’s Tools & rigging bag, spare line, sail repair, snatch blocks etc. Bosun’s Chair Emergency Running Lights - (AMI can provide) Galley Equipment - pots, pans, eating utensils plates bowls etc. (AMI-SOP p. 22) Flash Lights with spare batteries - at least 6 Dive Gear - Wet Suit, Mask, Snorkel, Fins Instruments: Knot meter/log Depth sounder Barometer - (AMI can provide) Sextant - (AMI can provide) GPS - (AMI can provide) Navigation Gear - (Most of this AMI can provide for cost ) Charts and Coast Pilots for all waters to be traversed Sailing Directions, Nautical Almanac 12 volt Outlets (cigar lighter type) - at least one - Pref 3 or 4 WOULD LIKE to have: Wind Speed & Direction Auto Pilot - if none provided additional crew will be needed Cruising Spinnaker - “genniker” for down wind voyages Whisker Pole - for down wind voyages Dodger and/or Bimini Refrigeration GPS - plott Radar Single Sideband Radio Wind Vane Sea Anchor or Drogue + ample line for setting it (AMI can provide) Storm Sail(s) Trisail & Storm Jib Sea Anchor rig for extended off shore voyages Back to Home |
