s/v Osprey voyage Newport to Bermuda 10/30 – 11/3/2010V

 

Total run was about 90 hours from Noon 10/30/2010 to about 0500 EDT 11/3/2010.

We had favorable currents most of the time, catching the east side of a westerly lying warm eddy between Newport  at about 39.39 x 69.26, and the Gulf Stream, and catching the GS at about 37.57 x 68.20 where it had a generally east-southeasterly set.  Winds were generally westerly, from  WSW to W to WNW, then on to N and finally NNE to NE the final hours of the voyage.
